One more event confirmed on the national calendar: the Feira Brasília de Arte Contemporânea (FBAC) takes place from June 29 to July 3 at the Espaço Cultural Renato Russo, recently reopened in the Asa Sul district of the federal capital.
It will be the second edition of the fair, organized by gallerist Onice Moraes de Oliveira, and the outlook is one of growth. The first edition, held in 2016, featured 10 art galleries from the city and recorded 12 thousand visitors in four days. The new edition opened a call for 18 galleries from across the country and will have a parallel program of talks and workshops on art and the market.
There are two more novelties announced by the fair: the creation of a wishlist for the Museu Nacional da República, with works identified on the first day of the event, aiming to encourage donations to the public institution; and the launch of a website with personalized spaces for the participating galleries, which will remain active for up to 30 days after the event, in order to boost direct contact between visitors and gallerists.
