Art fairs in 2024 - check the calendar

If the Brazilian market is heating up and paying closer attention to local artists, as the Art Basel report indicated, then it is worth putting the art fairs already confirmed for this year in your diary. Check the calendar already confirmed for 2024:

SP-Arte: April 3 to 7

The largest and oldest art and design fair in Brazil, SP-Arte has already announced its return to the Bienal Pavilion, in Ibirapuera Park, São Paulo, between April 3 and 7. The organizers expect to gather more than five thousand works by more than two thousand artists, Brazilian and foreign. Beyond the fair itself, the event promotes talks through the Circuito SP-Arte, with exhibition openings and visits to galleries and private collections around the city. The Rotas Brasileiras event, which in 2023 took place between August and September, has not yet announced its dates.

FARGO: May 15 to 19

Heading into its sixth edition, the Feira de Negócios de Arte de Goiás will be held in May 2024. The dates have already been confirmed on FARGO's Instagram, with no further details apart from a clue that may point to this edition's theme: "Afluentes. Os caminhos fluídos da arte". Last year, the fair gave awards to prominent gallerists and collectors.

ArPa | MADE: June 5 to 9

Held for the first time in 2022, ArPa has confirmed it will take place between June 5 and 9 at the Pacaembu Complex, together with the MADE fair, dedicated to design. The first editions took place in a 4,000-square-meter tent set up over the Pacaembu pitch, which is still under renovation but with a partial opening announced for this semester. According to the event's website, the new edition will already be held in the convention center that is becoming part of the complex.

ArtRio: September 25 to 29

In its 13th edition, ArtRio once again occupies the charming Marina da Glória, where it has been held since 2017. Last year, the fair covered an area 25% larger than the previous edition, according to the organizers, who also announced the adoption of sustainability measures to minimize the event's impact on the environment.

What about the international fairs? The Touch of Class website has compiled a list of the fairs already confirmed around the world, with their dates.
