About the show
The exhibition "El Dorado. Un territorio" was on view at Fundación PROA in Buenos Aires from 1 April to 8 August 2023. The show brought together around 40 works by contemporary artists and historical Latin American pieces to reflect on the impact of the Eldorado myth, colonial exploitation and the extraction of wealth in the region. Works by names such as Marta Minujín, Leopoldo Maler, Fernando Bryce, Carolina Caycedo and Brazilian artist Leda Catunda.
