About the show
The exhibition "Earth, fire, water and winds: Towards a Museum of Wandering with Édouard Glissant" was on view at the Instituto Tomie Ohtake from 3 September 2025 to 25 January 2026. It envisaged a "Museum of Wandering" inspired by the Martinican poet and philosopher. It presented for the first time in Brazil part of the writer's personal collection from the Mémorial ACTe (Guadeloupe), alongside works by Wifredo Lam, Roberto Matta and over 30 contemporary artists.
