About the show
The exhibition "Memória: accounts of another History" was on view at MUNCAB in Salvador until 5 July 2026. Part of the France-Brazil Season 2025, it brought together works by 20 African and Afro-diasporic women artists. Themes of identity, ancestry and the revision of dominant historical narratives, through paintings, sculptures, textile works, videos and performances. Curated by Nadine Hounkpatin and Jamile Coelho.
