Every work that travels, travels by design.
The rigour the world's leading museums demand, backed by the structure only the sector's largest group can offer: a global network, accumulated know-how and exclusive solutions such as Moviiu's express courier service. From museum-standard packing to express delivery, speed changes, cost changes, security never does.

National and international transport
No work travels before it has been studied. Every move begins with a survey that sets the logistics strategy and the crating design, and from there we handle the full chain: from import and export to the expatriation of entire collections, including support in arranging transit insurance.
On the road, the work travels in climate-controlled vehicles lined in polyurethane, with air suspension and hydraulic lift gates, all satellite-tracked. And it never travels alone: a team trained in art handling accompanies it across Brazil and beyond.

Internal moves and rigging
Not every crossing spans borders: some happen between floors. During renovations, space changes and collection reorganisations, we handle internal moves and the rigging of pieces of any size, following the same method as our transports, always starting with a survey that defines the best solutions.
The scope covers the entire operation: packing, unpacking and repacking, handling during cataloguing, temporary storage in a climate-controlled warehouse, and support in arranging insurance for the move.

Bespoke crating
Before the truck, the plane and the road, it is the crate that protects the work. That is why we do not buy packaging: our in-house joinery designs and builds each one to measure, to museum standard and in 100% reforested timber, from acid-free soft packing in acrylic wadding and glassine to the museum crate that keeps the work stable, cushioned and shielded from humidity, direct light and temperature swings.
Large-scale sculptures that will not fit whole inside a crate are secured in open, made-to-measure timber cradles, guarded against impact and designed for handling. Read more in our article on the art of packing works of art.

Exhibition installation and de-installation
Shipping an exhibition is a complex logistical undertaking. We plan routes, stopovers and connections and split the load to balance weight in the aircraft, for security, works by the same artist or museum never travel on a single flight.
From arrival to the wall, our own team handles installation and de-installation. We have delivered the logistics for shows such as the Chico da Silva retrospective at the Pinacoteca do Ceará, and we accompany touring exhibitions between museums across cities and countries.

Customs, airports and couriers
Between a work's origin and its destination lie airports, customs offices and borders, and at none of these points does it go unaccompanied. We manage import, export and expatriation, from airport assistance to courier reception, dealing directly with the customs authorities of each country.
A specialist courier follows the entire route, checking condition reports at every stage, and wherever the route passes, a group house is nearby: 11 countries across the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Express on the outside, museum-grade on the inside.
The difference between a standard shipment and an art shipment lies in what surrounds the work, the packaging and the insurance. The express courier carries what we design and insure: for each transport, we build the bespoke packaging and send it to you, with the work insured at its true value, not a carrier’s standard limit. All with instant online quotes and real-time tracking, in Brazil and worldwide. Unlock your work’s logistics, literally, in one click.
